School prayer walk
On Monday, January 6, First Baptist held the second prayer walk of the school year. This second semester edition saw almost 190 people gather on 10 area campuses to walk the grounds and pray for our students, teachers, administrators, support personnel, and parents. We were privileged to be allowed, and even welcomed, on to campuses to seek God’s presence in our schools. A few participants shared their thoughts:
“The prayer walk was a privilege, to pray for a “spiritual covering” for every student. I walked the property, then drove the property praying for God’s protection and intervention over every student and prayed that the students could sense God’s presence in a real way.”
“I am so glad I participated in the prayer walk! It’s amazing that we were invited to some campuses and I am believing for God to do great things in our community through our students.”
“What a blessing I received as I walked the campus at Swift School in Bon Secour. As I walked praying, I laid my hands on the doors, play area, bus and gym praying for children, teachers, and staff as they enter the doors and walk the hall of this precious little school. I prayed for the Lord’s protection, guidance, and knowledge and that they may come to know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.”
